Scott Lorentzen, P.E. began working locally as an engineering professional in 1997 after attending Arizona State University.  Unlike many of his peers, Scott started working in the field as a survey crew instrument man assisting in the preparation of topographic/boundary surveys and construction staking layout for projects throughout the Phoenix Metro area. Combining this field experience along with a heavy equipment operator background in Scott’s home state of Alaska provided invaluable hands-on experience into the construction process and an edge over the competition.  Over an 8-year period Scott worked for several small to large firms while acquiring licensure as a registered professional civil engineer in January 2002 before founding Southwest Land Consulting, P.C. in March 2005.  Scott’s extensive knowledge of the latest AutoCad Civil 3D and drainage software is utilized in all facets of the business from conceptual planning, final design and construction document drafting.
